Two dozen from Nigeria Young Scholars Released After Eight Days Following Abduction
A total of twenty-four West African girls taken hostage from the educational institution more than seven days back were liberated, the country's president stated.
Gunmen stormed the Government Girls Comprehensive Senior Secondary School situated within northwestern region recently, killing one staff member and seizing 25 students.
Nigerian President government leadership praised law enforcement regarding their "quick action" following the event - while the circumstances regarding their liberation remained unclear.
West Africa's dominant power has experienced numerous cases of captures during current times - including over 250 children taken from a Catholic school recently remaining unaccounted for.
Via official communication, a special adviser of the administration asserted that all the girls abducted from educational facility located in the area had been accounted for, stating that this event caused imitation captures across further local territories.
National leadership said that more personnel are being positioned in sensitive locations to avert more cases related to captures".
In a separate post on X, the president commented: "The Air Force must sustain constant observation across distant regions, coordinating activities with ground units to effectively identify, separate, interfere with, and counteract all hostile elements."
Exceeding numerous youths got captured from educational institutions in recent years, back when multiple young women were taken hostage amid the infamous major capture incident.
On Friday, a minimum of numerous pupils and workers were taken from a learning facility, faith-based academy, located within regional territory.
Several dozen people captured at learning institution were able to flee according to the Christian Association - but at least two hundred fifty are still missing.

Brown, ex-British leader, said: "We also have responsibility to ensure that learning facilities provide protected areas for studying, instead of locations in which students could be removed from their classroom for illegal gain."
