The children's author David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.
Prolific young adult author and comedian David Walliams has been dropped by his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.
A spokesman for the company commented: "Following a thorough review, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the decision was made after an inquiry regarding reports of conduct deemed unsuitable towards female individuals.
The publisher declined to specify the motivations for this action, stating: "We refrain from speaking about confidential company decisions."
An Illustrious Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.
Some of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles in total, including a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.
Television and Literature
His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
